Welcome current SNS families!
Thanks for being part of the SNS family. Here you'll find lots of useful information about your child's attendance. It’s our collective responsibility to keep our fantastic school safe for all our kiddos.
Ready to go!
What to Bring
- A backpack to carry indoor shoes, a full change of clothing, a water bottle, a self-contained snack bag or box that can be removed from the backpack. There is no space for storing children’s shoes, clothing, snacks or water bottles in the classroom. These items will remain in their backpack during their class time and will be taken out as needed.
- A complete change of clothing - a top, bottoms, underwear and socks. Feel free to have doubles of each item if you know your child may benefit from doing so. These need to be kept in a bag (zip or drawstring style bag) inside the backpack. If your child wears pull-ups please provide a clean pair.
- Indoor shoes - only to be worn while at nursery school.
- A snack bag or box - a separate container that can be carried inside their backpack and removed at snack time.
Picking-up and Dropping-off your child
Parents/guardians will arrive during designated times. Early or late drop off/pick up is not permitted unless pre-arranged with teachers. Drop off times:
- Morning session drop off from 9:00 to 9:10 am
- Afternoon session drop off from 1:00 to 1:15 pm
Drop-off and Pick-up procedures:
- Student drop-off and pick-up will be located on the North side of Strathcona Community league, up the ramp. Inside, parent(s) or guardian(s) can wait for their child. Please keep in mind that we share this space with the community and that we should be respectful of the building we share.
- If a child is having difficulty separating from their parent/guardian during drop-off, they are asked to step aside until teachers are finished accepting other students and in a better position to assist.
In case of emergency
For attendance issues (missing class, illness, late arrival, etc), please text the teachers at 780-710-7667 or email teachers@strathconanurseyschool.com. For emergencies please call.
If there are any emergencies at school, teachers will contact the listed Emergency Contact for your child.
