The President is ultimately responsible for the general administration of the nursery school.

Maintains general records and critical data regarding the administration of the school.

• Keeps all confidential log in/administration information 
• Documents activities of the board, including Board meeting minutes and agendas.
• Sit on special committees where appropriate 

Maintains and manages registration of new and existing students.

Must be elected at SAGM.

10 hours/month

• Communicates with interested parents and registers new students
• Plans open house and next year’s registration with board
• Manages parent handbook and other key information

Manages parent helper roster and class lists on a monthly basis.

Manages overall finances and budget for the school.

Must be elected at SAGM.

8 hours/month

• Oversees the general budget of the school.
• Ensures all expenses, fees and salaries are paid/withdrawn, with the co-treasurer.
• Regularly communicates with the board regarding any issues.
• Completes bookeeping duties and maintains financial records
• Completes all financial reports required by provincial and federal authorities

Responsible for internal and external communications, including social media, website and advertising. 

Elected by the board.

6 hours/month

• Manages all external communications to promote school registrations.
• Manages all internal communications to ensure current families are connected.

Manages fundraising activities to align with budget. Seeks grants and other sources of funding.

• Manages overall fundraising activities to align with budget. 
• Seeks grants and other sources of fundraising. 
• Manages fundraising events where necessary, including casinos.

Responsible for organizing internal social events for SNS families. 

Elected by the board.

4-? hours/month

• Plans social events to bring SNS families together. Seeks volunteers where necessary.
• Assists fundraising chair/co-chair in the planning of public-facing fundraising events.
• It is a great opportunity to be creative and build a sense of community with other SNS parents.
